Thank goodness for the month of April as I am sure that you all feel like you need a break already. 2005 ended with Tanaz being awarded Best Salon for the third year running – a measure of our commitment and dedication to our trade, and to your unwavering support. Thanks to each one of you for your vote of confidence. All our ladies are back from maternity leave and we are delighted to announce the safe arrival of a bakkie load of Tanaz Tots: Evelyn gave birth to a daughter, Peta Lee; Jenneth's little girl, Ntsakisi, followed soon after; and Shelene's twin boys, Liaam and Teghan, made their very eventful entrance in December. At this rate, we might need to add mashed banana to the Coffee Addict's list of delicacies. Haydi thought the explosion of tots was a marvelous idea and is expecting her short person in May. As ever, 2006 is going to bring a lot of change for Tanaz. You know our motto: without change, there can be no progression. These changes will take a bit of time to implement but as always, our aim is to constantly improve the service and running of the business. This year will see an intent focus on our hairdressing and on the upskilling of apprentice staff. We would like to welcome Nikki to our team, even though she hails from Australia (We promise not to hold that against you Nikki!). If you are looking for a new catwalk Jessica Simpson look, here is your hairdresser. Nikki can create this for you so if you are looking to change stylists and get a great new winter look, please pop in for a consultation. Nikki was highly trained in colour as well as and Bio Ionic straightening in Australia …which work especially well with her great haircuts. We are thrilled to announce that Tanaz has finally crossed borders and has found a site in Cape Town at the Cape Quarters, which will be opening its doors on April 15th. Theo will be heading up our Tanaz branch in the Cape and we would like to extend a warm welcome to him. We are delighted to have him as our partner in this exciting adventure. The salon is currently open under the name of VQ Hair Design and Theo can be reached on 021 425 9655. Shelene will be going to Cape Town twice a month to get the business on its feet, so get your diaries out and ensure you book your times with her well in advance, to avoid any disappointment. In something of a balancing act, Sam has just joined Tanaz from Cape Town and we're thrilled to have her with us. She has an extensive Cape-based clientele and will now be returning to Cape Town every four to six weeks to give our Cape Town branch a boost. Her first trip was scheduled for April 4 th so please call or email your appointments as soon as possible so we can get organised. Sam's next trip will be 15th May so please make your bookings in advance. Our Cape branch will offer all the hair services that we offer at Tanaz, Jhb, including the Biolustre Treatment and the Bio Ionic Hair Straightening, which Shelene and Sam will personally be doing. All appointments can be made directly with Shelene or Sam on 011 786 2976. Sam is also an experienced Nioxin specialist so should you have any hair loss problems, please do not hesitate to call us and make an appointment with her. There is no charge for a consultation. Tanaz Body & Nails is also experiencing some changes … We would like to warmly welcome Moi, who has recently joined as a new beauty therapist and has enthusiastically thrown herself into the Tanaz Body & Nails drive to concentrate on fewer, more specialised treatments.
